Shipping

Shipping is the cost of postage and packaging and handling (PPH). It includes the postage cost charged by Australia Post, the cost of the packaging used in your parcel, and the handling cost (the wage of the MBA we employ to handle the mail). Packaging and Handling are standardized at AUD$4.oo per parcel. This charge covers the cost of the new cardboard box used to package your order, the polytube used to package our products, and the spacer material used to fill the box and ensure that your products aren't moving around inside the cardboard box during transport.

Manufacturing

We manufacture on the weekend. During the week we have proper jobs that our parents would approve of and we have kids to organize. Occassionally we will manufacture mid-week but we try to keep this to a minimum. If you order between Monday and Thursday we will try to get that product manufactured over the weekend and in the post Monday or Tuesday. If the manufacturing pipeline is full or you order Friday through Sunday then your order will be placed in the queue for the following weekend.

If you are ordering plaster product or any of our moulds or game aids then we manufacture to order. The manufacturing pipeline is organized on a logical first-in, first-out basis. If somebody orders ten things and somebody else orders one thing then we will try to fit the one thing in so that order doesn't have to wait too long but by and large orders go out in the order they came in.

Stock On Hand

For products that we manufacture we do not track Stock on Hand through the website. Those products have an unlimited Stock on Hand and are always available for sale.

For products that we stock that we do not manufacture we do track Stock on Hand through the website. We also allow these products to be sold when we do not have stock available - whereupon those products are Backordered. Unfortunately the cart software that we use does not allow items that are not in stock to be sold. In order for us to allow Backordered items to be sold we have to maintain a level of stock in the system that we do not have.

Our Stock on Hand figure consists of two parts. The first 100 units represent the Backorder component. Everything over 100 represents the actual, physical stock level. So if the Stock on Hand shows 107 that means we actually have 7 units of that product on hand.

We will always let you know when something you ordered is out of stock, so that you have the opportunity to cancel or change your order if you wish.

We will always let you know if the order queue is long enough to cause a significant delay to the fulfilment of your order.

Backorders

We source all of our products directly from the manufacturer. In most cases these are small manufacturers like ourselves. By dealing with the manufacturer rather than a distributor the money we pay goes directly to the people who created the product. This helps to ensure that they are able to create more products.

When we have to order products from an international manufacturer it generally takes two weeks to receive the shipment. Two things will blow out that timing - Christmas and a customs inspection of the inbound parcel. One of these is predictable, the other not. Both add about a week to the timing.

We will always let you know when something you ordered is on backorder, so that you have the opportunity to cancel or change your order if you wish.
